For those of you who’ve been following my blog, you might have seen that the Their Circumstances series has been ripped apart and reborn into the Scarred Souls series, where the stories are told in full (novel and novella length titles) instead of the short stories of the TC series. It has changed POVs, from 3rd to 1st, events have changed… all in all, most of the things established in TC has changed.
Still, the plan was for eight books, whereas book 5, Wounded Souls, was to be the rewrite/redoing of Josh and Damian’s part of Yesterday’s Tears. Well, that plan has crashed and burned, my dear readers. Why, you ask? I started the book over and over again, getting stuck a few thousand words in each time. It just wasn’t right. The series have changed so much, the events of YT couldn’t be incorporated into it. And this realisation crushed me, because I was all set on writing another novel with Josh and Damian, but it wouldn’t work.
Matt started talking then. His book was supposed to be book 6, Lost Souls. And it still is categorised as book 6, but with the crash and burn of book 5, maybe this one should be book 5 instead? This’ll leave the series with only seven books. I was attached to the number 8, but now I think about it… only having 7 books is of no matter. I kind of like the number 7. If this is to be the case, Josh and Damian will have a short story in Lost Souls, because there is one thing from YT that will have to be dealt with. And no, I’m not telling you what it is. You’ll have to wait and see.
So, with my newfound revelation, the 7 books of the new series are as follows: #1. Scarred Souls. Josh and Damian’s novel; #2. Inked Souls. Silver and Kian’s novella; #3. Broken Souls. Chad and Jeremy’s novel; #4. Imperfect Souls. Chad and Dion’s novella; #5. Lost Souls. Matt and Caesar’s novella (or novel? Still WIP, might change); #6. Troubled Souls. Adam. That’s all I have to say; #7. Damaged Souls. I have nothing to say to this one. Wait and see!
I’m so excited about this series. You have no idea. I think it’s my best work to date!
