Not Close Enough

Leo and Thomas grew close over the holidays, but now they’re living in each their town, a five hour drive apart. What seemed so easy over Christmas, is turning into something very complicated – especially as no one even knows they’re a couple.

Leo doesn’t know what he wants to do with himself once he finishes school. He never wanted to move back to his hometown, that’s for sure, but that’s where Thomas is. That’s where Thomas has his life. Leo’s got to decide if he’s willing to move back, and to perhaps face his parents, if there’s ever going to be a chance of a future.

Thomas dreads the day the kids all move out and he’s alone in the house. Sadly, that day’s not that far ahead. He wants to be with Leo, perhaps have Leo move in once he finishes school, but can he really put his trust in someone who’s not compatible with himself? He knows Leo crave sexual intimacy, and that’s not something Thomas is willing or capable of giving him. A relationship’s all about compromise… but can Thomas find one that satisfy them both?

More Than Enough

Leo’s celebrating Christmas with Alex and Alex’s boyfriend’s family. It should’ve been awkward, since he doesn’t know any of them, but instead he finds himself irresistibly pulled towards not just the family as a whole, but to a certain member of it. But Leo has never had a relationship with anyone and doesn’t think he’s made out for that. No matter how much he wants to have one, he’s always been alone and that’s probably how it’s always going to be.

Thomas has always done what was right. He grew up as the youngest son in a dysfunctional home, he took in his sister’s son when his mother couldn’t take care of him anymore, and then he took in his brother’s three children when he killed himself. Thomas has done his best by his four nieces and nephews; he’s given them the stable life they otherwise wouldn’t have had. But now that they’re old enough to move out, and Thomas doesn’t know what to do with himself. For the first time, he faces a future all alone… or does he?

Lost Souls

Scarred Souls, #6

NOTE! This story needs excessive editing, which means the blurb has to be altered significantly too.

“Life’s never going to be the same again.”

Three years ago, Matt lost both of his parents, leaving him and his sister orphans. The pain and grief is still consuming him, made even worse by his depression and the recent loss of his dog. But when Matt’s forced to go with his sister to a party, he meets Caesar, who’s flamboyant, social and generally fun to be around. For once since his parents died, Matt feels alive again.

But the grief’s still there, and the only way Matt knows how to deal with it and his depression, is to cut himself. Not to mention that something’s up with Caesar, and he has a bit of a crush on his mate Adam. Wracked by grief and traitorous emotions towards two different blokes… how can he ever get himself together?
