Week 44: 2013

[title size=”2″]On writing[/title]

This week has been the most productive writing wise so far. In fact, every week has been better than the last. I sure do hope this pattern continues! I’ve been writing exclusively on More Than Anything, as I’ve done since I started writing it again at the beginning of October. This week I have written an incredibly 26K! I almost couldn’t believe it, but the spreadsheet does not lie. Last week was 17K, so this means almost 10K more. I am stunned. I am hoping I can keep it up!

More Than Anything has now reached 86K. Or was it 87K? Still, it’s just so incredible! I will have this novel finished in no time. Here I thought I was going to use NaNo on the rest of the novel, and the words are just pouring out. I have plans to write something else, a short story, then the second novel, afterwards. I hope I can keep the word count up on those two!

After finishing Marie Sexton’s A to Z I continued the series by rereading The Letter Z. I read that back in 2010 too, so I didn’t really remember much of it. Back when I read this the first time, there were certain major things I didn’t like about it. This time around though, I just loved the book. What their relationship grew into was right for them and I have found now that I didn’t have any problems with it. Before, I had really deep-rooted issues with cheating, and I guess for me that this books touched on that. I guess I had the same reaction Jared did, but the first time around I didn’t open myself up enough to accept it. I did this time, and I’m glad for that!

Next up was Strawberries for Dessert, the last book in the series I had already read, also back in 2010. I love Jon and Cole, I did back then and I do now. After that it was time to move on to Paris A to Z. This is the book I’ve been waiting for, the one I haven’t read before. Loved it too! It was great to see Zach finally dealing with what happened over 10 years ago with Jonathan. It was great to see Matt deal with his jealousy of Cole. Zach’s and Angelo’s relationship is awesome, I admire it! And Jon and Cole themselves, getting married. Such a good story! Now I’m on to the last book in the series, which I’ve also been looking forward too.
