On writing
I only spent three days writing this week, and I didn’t even write much. 2,700 words. I went to the cabin with my kid sister and grandparents, and I decided to have an impromptu break from writing and focus on reading. So that’s what I will be doing this week: reading.
On reading
I read two more books in Tusen Biter (A Thousand Pieces), Bat Out of Hell and The First Cut is the Deepest. Then I moved on to a new book in Carol Lynne’s Cattle Valley series, Finding Absolution. It was okay — but there was insta-love, which I really don’t like. I also read the newest book in Diane Adams’ The Making of a Man series, A Home For Christmas. I love this series, I really do. But this book … not so much. It was all about a baby, and I’m not a kid person at all, so the plot of this book didn’t catch my attention at all. Still, it’s Jared and Alex, and they are wonderful together.
Last book of the week I read was Outlast the Night, the third book in Ariel Tachna’s Lang Downs series. I was a bit so-so on the previous book, but this one was just as good as the first one. I love this series. So much! So much so that I started in on the fourth book as soon as I finished this one.
